Legislative and Lobbying Activities

VNLA serves as the voice of the green industry of Virginia and is dedicated to its promotion and growth.  VNLA strives to unify, strengthen and promote the green industry, while advancing industry best practices and principles that help keep Virginia green and growing.

With the election of many new elected officials, the 2024 Virginia General Assembly Session will be a critical opportunity for education.

The VNLA also partners with the American Nursery & Landscape Association (ANLA), now AmericanHort, in the Lighthouse Program. The Lighthouse Program is a grassroots partnership created to better inform energize the industry to respond effectively to federal legislation and national issues.

The program provides partner associations including VNLA information for its members on federal legislation which will affect your business, and offers web-based tools and resources to inform your Congressional delegation of how you will be affected.
