OBJECTIVES

To increase awareness of environmental improvement through quality design and landscaping.

To encourage those concerned to continue their efforts to raise the industry's image by consistent use of quality materials and competent workmanship, and to single out those with meritorious achievement in order to provide recognition for their accomplishments.

ELIGIBILITY

Entries must be of projects. completed, or in the process, within Virginia. Each entry must be accompanied by a fee of $10.00. Entries must represent the work of the entrant, except owner may enter work done by designers and/or contractor.

PRESENTATION OF AWARDS

The Keep Virginia Beautiful Landscape Excellence Awards will be presented at the Annual Awards Presentation and Luncheon of Keep Virginia Beautiful, Inc.

ENTRY CATEGORIES

Landscape and Plantscape projects on which the entrant has executed the major portion of the work may be entered for judging in the following categories. Any entry to be submitted in more than one category must have a completed entry form and documentation for each category entered.

NOTES:

1. Residential will include only landscaping done at single family residences typically owner-occupied.

2. Commercial will include commercial sites as well as multi-family units

3. Institutional will include schools, churches, hospitals, etc.

4. Design/Installation projects will include those on which the firm entering has done the landscape design as well as the installation and/or construction.

Job size and cost is not a consideration in judging.
